George and Katy, barristers at 4 Pump Court will talk about the products used by the construction industry. They'll look at the new roles in construction and building management, and how to manage risk.

George Woods
George Woods is a commercial barrister with 20 years’ experience in construction and engineering disputes.
He is also involved as a developer and operator of hydro-electric power generation businesses. He provides insight from an unusual perspective of regularly giving legal advice as a barrister, and regularly needing to obtain professional advice in his commercial role as a power generator.
Katy Handley
Katy Handley is a junior tenant at 4 Pump Court who has a broad commercial law practice and experience in both domestic and international disputes. Katy has been instructed in a variety of construction, contractual and professional negligence claims in both the County Court and the TCC.
She is regularly asked to advise on complex construction matters, including actions brought under the Defective Premises Act 1972. In a recent article in the 4 Pump Court construction newsletter, Katy provided an overview of the most significant changes brought in by the Building Safety Act 2022.
