Delivering Valuable Data: Better Outcomes for Your Clients

14th Feb 2023, 6pm for 6.30pm start

AluK Design Studio, 5-11 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2BH

Join LCEC and Paul Wilkinson for a look at the future of data management best practice in construction projects.

The construction industry’s approach to technology is constantly evolving. However, exchange and use of information remains a regular challenge.

This session will give valuable insight to Paul’s work with the BEIS-funded Government & Industry Interoperability Group. Among other things, the group is developing a new code of practice that aims to resolve some of the challenges around information management.

Find out about the forthcoming code of practice, learn about the key principles of the code, including:

  • Longevity – how can we make data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable for longer?
  • Improved security – setting standards for appropriate security of information.
  • Enhancing value – how can data serve a wider range of client purposes?
  • Ownership – how to ensure information ownership is clear and can be exploited to provide value.
  • Fair competition – perhaps most important, how to ensure a level playing field across the supply chain, from technology providers to consultants to sub-contractors to main contractors.

This session will give you insight into what’s on the horizon for the delivery of best value through information management.
